BMW is seeing resurgence in the market and is looking to keep the momentum going in the upcoming year. Its 2014 line up focused on refining favorites like the 3 series while the new 2 series was introduced to add volume to BMW sales. Now that the entire line-up for BMW 2015 has been released, we can round up in one place everything that you can expect to see next year.

Completely New Models

The number 4 seems to dominate everything about BMW’s 2015 line up. The company plans to introduce 4 new models for 2015.

  • The 4 series Gran Coupe: BMW has tried to provide a sporty twist to the practicality of a sedan with this completely new model. It is priced around $41,000 and the company is hoping that it will be a real hit with sedan users.
  • The X4 Sports Activity Coupe: This borrows generously from the design language of the X6 and packages it in a smaller more affordable offering. The base price of this model should be around $45,000. BMW wants to fill the gap in its offering at this price point and hopes that its base customers will graduate upwards in the new range.
  • The Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe: The 2015 line-up also gets special attention at the higher end of the market. This brand new model is slated to be a performance beast with a 540 V8 twin turbo under the hood. The price for this model starts at a nose bleed inducing $118,000.
  • The M3 Sedan and the M4 Coupe: The fourth car in the list is actually two cars as BMW is offering two different variants of basically the same car. Everything under the hood and inside the cabin remains the same. The cars will have at their disposal 425 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque which is sure to make them a joy to drive.

The M3 is expected to retail around $62,000 while the M4 wil be slightly more expensive at $65,000.

Updates to older models

There will be smaller incremental changes to almost all of the cars in BMW’s line-up from 2014. In addition the company has chosen to badge its i3 and the i8 models as 2014 ones even though they are set to be released in 2015.

The i3 with the extended range engine is expected to be priced at $46,000 while the i8 is a different league altogether at close to $135,000.

The 2 series M228 and the M235 get an all wheel drive option, while the 3 series sees an updated instrument cluster and a few in car gadgets. The 3 series has been the mainstay of BMW’s line-up for quite a few years now and it looks like BMW is keen not to tinker with something that is working well.

The 4 series does not see much change from last year with the prices and options remaining the same over last year. The 5 series sedan now has leather strapped steering wheels, better in-car electrical connectivity as well as LED fog lamps across the range.

The year 2015 is looking to be a promising year for BMW as it seems to have the pulse of its target audience and is getting the styling and pricing of its cars just right.
