Twins Test Old vs. New Tech

April 24, 2014 10:51 AM

Identical twins Hugo and Ross Turner are about to embark on the journey of a lifetime. They are trying to cross the 2nd largest icecap in the world up in the Arctic. As if punishing temperatures, polar bears and crevasses weren’t hard enough they are comparing old kit (worn by the pioneers of the polar region like Shackleton and Scott) versus the very latest in insulative technology. They are working closely with King College London to deliver conclusive scientific results around Old Vs. New Tech. Their guide, George Bullard will thankfully be wearing modern day kit!

In addition, one of the twins, Hugo, broke his back a few years ago and since then, he has been set on raising funds for Spinal Research. They are aiming to raise £305,000 for Spinal Research.

Please follow their story, receive live updates from the ice every 2 hrs and be part of raising over £1/4 million for Spinal Research at www.theturnertwins.co.uk.
