The Assassin’s Creed franchise continues with their annually releases of their games with Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. Syndicate takes place in Victorian London during the Industrial Revolution in the late 1800s. The game features two main characters, the story follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye who were raised by the Assassin order and try to take down the Templars through the London underworld. The two characters are differently in terms of their personalities such as Jacob who is charismatic, brash, hard headed and reckless while Evie is level-headed and stealthily. They will also be aided by historical figures during that period of time such as Charles Dickens and Charles Darwin. The game features some new gameplay mechanics such as a grappling hook similar to the Arkham series and transportation where players can use the carriages and trains to either assassinate, parkour or use them as regular transportion. The fighting style is new as well where everything is up close and more street brawlish feel to the gameplay.

New weapons are a part of the addition to fit in the setting where the weapons are discreet, people aren’t going to be able to have a sword or gun attached to their hip but add new weapons that are concealed such as small knives, brass knuckles and a revolver.
The city of London is looking to be vast and big while being beautiful and detailed. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate hopes to have a positive release unlike last year where Assassin’s Creed: Unity released with a ton of bugs and in general negative to mixed reviews. Ubisoft has mentioned the criticism when they first announced Syndicate in hopes of making this game good as it can be plus with a new team making this game hopefully it it allow a more polished game and filled with new fresh ideas. The game is fully single player as well as the multiplayer function from Unity will not be in Syndicate. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is set to be released on Xbox One/PS4 and PC this fall.
