My name is Shihana Shahabdeen. I’m a New Zealander. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Media and Communications at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. My Bachelor of Arts degree includes a major in Political Science along with Media and Communications. I graduated at the end of 2013. I recently made a move to Melbourne, Australia hoping to pursue a career in the media industry. My interests mainly lay within media research to journalism. My goals are to become a part of the news media industry with a direct focus on tv reporting. But along the way, I hope to obtain as much experience as I can within the field of media to broaden my scope and knowledge.
